Projects are where big things happen with a little effort from every fairy

Garden Fairies projects involve a process in which we are continually working on transforming each others outdoor spaces. It's a simple system:

First- You put in five sessions at other members gardens to earn a spot on "The Transformation List".
Some time in the future- The Flock shows up at your garden (or home) to do a transformation session.

Our cooperative sessions are akin to our forebearer's quilting bees and barn raising sessions. Instead, of being a "stitching and bitching group" (the name for early quilting sessions) we are a modern day garden group that digs doin' it! Every project concludes with an overall feeling of amazement at how much we get done in one of our transformation sessions.

Making Magical Gardens

We go way beyond planting perennials. We teach each other how to make magical Florida gardens.
We cover the basics; such as which plants are weeds, what plants thrive in sun and which like shade.
We also take on big projects with multiple layers that aren't just plants.
Some favorite projects include mosaic stepping stones, creating curving paths using unusual material, inventing exotic planters, building tiki huts and arbors, and mural painting.

Lead by a core group of artist/gardeners, we teach each other creative gardening tricks to expand our use of color, shapes and whimsy. Many of us are professional artists. Lately it has been observed that a significant number of our ranks are in the medical and healing professions. Almost all of us are women, however, some men, "Garden Wizards" help from time-to-time.

The Garden Fairies are on a mission to connect and grow.
